THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Crime Branch has resubmitted the chargesheet against SFI activists and a Civil Police Officer in the PSC exam fraud case. The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Thiruvananthapuram, had earlier rejected the first chargesheet submitted by the Crime Branch citing technical issues. The CJM court rejected the chargesheet saying that the documents related to the mainour were not clear. On Thursday, the court accepted the second chargesheet submitted by the investigation team after rectifying the defects. The accused have to appear before the court on June 20.

The Crime Branch submitted the first chargesheet to the court last week four years after the incident. The court examined the chargesheet and returned it to the investigation team stating that the chargesheet was incomplete. Five SFI leaders, who were students of Thiruvananthapuram University College, are involved in the case.

The accused Sivaranjith, Nazeem and Pranav got ranks 1, 2 and 28 respectively in the PSC constable list through malpractice. Later, an investigation was launched and it was found that they got help from outside in the exam. Police officer Gokul and friends Safeer and Praveen helped Sivaranjith, Nazeem and Pranav in the exam.
