THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A criticism was raised in the KPCC political affairs committee that there were lapses on the part of the party leadership in handling the organizational problems of the Pathanamthitta district.

Prominent members of the A group such as KC Joseph, MM Hasan and Benny Behanan openly expressed in the meeting that former Pathanamthitta DCC president Babu George's exit from the party could have been avoided. It was not right to take disciplinary action only against Babu George. The leadership should have corrected him and kept him by its side. The leadership's alienating approach led him to leave the party. The leaders also said that the leadership handled the problems in Pathanamthitta immaturely.

K Sudhakaran replied that KPCC has no compulsion to expel anyone. "A show cause notice was issued to Babu George because of the incidents in the DCC office. Later, he held a press conference and criticized the leaders. He was not even ready to express regret." Sudhakaran said.
