CHENNAI: The officials of the Income Tax department is conducting a raid at G Square Relations, a leading real estate company. The raid is being conducted at around fifty places related to the company. The raid was after the BJP alleged that it was a benami investment firm of Chief Minister Stalin's family.
Reports said the income tax department is trying to trace the owners or partners of the company. Sources said the raid is being conducted at fifty places in Tamil Nadu, including the head office in Chennai.

The income tax department is also inspecting the house of Stalin's son-in-law Sabarishan's auditor. BJP leader Annamalai had earlier accused Sabarishan and Stalin's son and minister Udayanidhi Stalin of amassing wealth illegally. The telephone conversation of Finance Minister Palanivel Thyagarajan was also released earlier in this regard. An audio of the finance minister speaking to a media person had surfaced.
