PATHANAMTHITTA: The party has appointed a three-member committee to investigate a high-profile sexual harassment complaint against a CPM Mallappuzassery area committee member. A party worker filed a complaint against the member. The investigation is being conducted by a committee comprising senior leader and district committee member Babu Koyikaleth, district committee member R. Ajay Kumar and Mahila Association district president V. G. Srilekha. The complainant is a native of Thiruvananthapuram and has been living in Mallappuzassery with her family for a long time. They alleged that they tried to rape her when no one else was in the house. The incident was reported to the local leaders but they tried to keep it under wraps. With this, the woman informed the management that she would file a complaint with the police. After that, the emergency area committee was convened to discuss the matter and appointed the committee to conduct an investigation.
