27 sovereigns looted from lawyer's house

KOLLAM: 27 sovereigns' jewellery stolen from the house of the lawyer who went for a second show. The theft took place at the house of Advocate Dheeraj Ravi from ​​Thevalli. Dheeraj Ravi is the son of the late Congress leader Thoppil Ravi.

Around 9 pm on Friday, the family consisting of Dheeraj Ravi, his wife, and two children locked their house and went for a second show. He came to know about the theft only after returning from the movie at around 12:10 pm. The main door was locked and the locked bedroom door was broken with a crowbar. The clothes in the closet are strewn. On inspection, it was found that the gold jewellery kept in a wooden box in a locker in the steel cupboard was missing.

The thieves leaped the wall behind the house and entered by breaking the door on the second floor. The children's room on the upper floor was also scattered. There is a vacant field behind the house. From there, if the thief can climb the wall, he can reach the terrace of the house.

Police, fingerprint experts, and the dog squad collected the evidence. The CCTV cameras in the nearby areas were checked and the investigation has also started. The area, which has several houses close to each other, is within a kilometer radius of Kollam West Police Station.
