NEW DELHI: SFI said that they will block the screening of the film ‘The Kerala Story’ at JNU. ABVP had earlier announced a selective screening will be held in JNU at 4 pm today. SFI came out against this. Many people including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had criticized the film.
Meanwhile, director Sudeepto Sen responded that 'The Kerala Story' is not against Kerala. He clarified that there is not a single dialogue that insults Kerala in the film and it is against terrorism. The film is not about love jihad. He added that he is only referring to people who cheat girls in pretext of love. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah had earlier informed that the film received permission for screening with an A certificate. The Censor Board had suggested changes in ten scenes including dialogues.
