PATNA: A man who was declared dead by police six months ago, has written a letter to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the state police chief. The person who wrote the letter is Sonu Kumar Srivastava.
30-year-old Sonu went missing from Deoria village six months ago. In the complaint filed by the relatives, it is said that Sonu did not return home after he went out to buy goods. Later, his father and other relatives confirmed that a body found in the village was that of Sonu. Then the police registered a case of kidnapping and murder. In the letter, Sonu confessed that he ran away to marry the woman loved. He has also attached a wedding photo in the letter as proof.
“I was about to go to Patna with Rs 50,000 to buy goods. But I eloped with the girl I loved and got married. Now I live in Ghaziabad with my wife. I was not abducted and killed”, Sonu said in the letter.
