Here’s another Kerala story; AR Rahman shares video of Hindu wedding held in mosque in 2020

The controversies regarding the film ‘The Kerala Story’ continues. Many people have come out against the film citing it conveys false information. Now Music director AR Rahman has responded by sharing a wedding video that took place in Kerala.

AR Rahman tweeted the video of a wedding conducted by the Kayamkulam Cheravally Muslim Juma Masjid Committee. He reposted the video that had the title 'Here's another Kerala story'. “Bravo. Love for humanity has to be unconditional and healing”, Rahman wrote on Twitter.

This incident happened in 2020. A Hindu wedding was conducted by setting up a venue in a mosque. After the death of the father, the family of the Hindu bride sought the help of the mosque committee for the marriage. Naseer, a resident of Pallikal, bore the cost of the wedding ceremony. The marriage took place in the mosque with prayers and puja rituals. The committee also prepared a feast after the wedding.

Meanwhile, 'The Kerala Story' will hit the theaters in Kerala tomorrow. The film will be screened in two theaters in Ernakulam. There will be two shows each day.

Ahead of the release, the first screening of the film for invited guests was held at Shenoys, Ernakulam yesterday. BJP state vice president Dr KS Radhakrishnan, district leaders, Hindu Aikya Vedi - RSS district office bearers, director Major Ravi and around fifty people watched the film. None of the film crew came to watch the film.
