KOCHI: Kochi City Police Commissioner K Sethuraman said that an emergency meeting was held the other day related to the consumption of drugs on film sets. There were will be the presence of shadow police at all locations from now on. While talking to the media, he said that action will be taken against those who violate the law.

Action will be taken on the revelations of those in the film industry. Further action will be taken if the complaint is received. The excise is investigating this and a statement will be taken if a complaint is obtained. There will be police in all film spots to eradicate the usage of drugs. We have data on who all from the film industry are consuming drugs. There is information on those involved in the case before. It cannot be revealed now. Although there is no hint of selling intoxicants in the film industry, there are people who use them. However, the commissioner also stated that no complaint has been received presently.

Actor Tiny Tom's disclosure about the use of drugs in the film industry at an inaugural function of the Kerala University Youth Festival, had sparked a controversy. Tiny Tom said that when his son got an offer to play son of a super star, his wife did not allow to accept the offer as the film industry is caught in the influx of drugs. Tiny Tom is the ambassador of Police's anti-drug 'Yoddhavu' awareness programme.
