Drunk couple fights in middle of road, affects traffic

THODUPUZHA: Traffic was disrupted for nearly 20 minutes following an altercation between a couple in the middle of the road in a drunken stage. The incident happened on the road going to Ezhallur from the Mangattukavala-Vengallur four-lane highway at around 3 pm yesterday.

Aneesh (34) of Upputhura and his wife Anjali (34) engaged in a fight after stopping their pick-up van on the roadside.

The Thodupuzha police reached the spot and took both into custody. The police arrested both of them for creating an uproar at the public place in an inebriated condition and released them on bail.
