THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has written an open letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asking him to release the original documents if the documents already released in the AI camera deal are fabricated.
"The opposition and the media brought out the documents of the massive looting under the auspices of the government. The Chief Minister cannot get away with saying they are fabricated. He should give a clear answer. Can the Chief Minister establish that even one of the facts that have come out is wrong?", asked Chennithala.
"The Chief Minister struggled to answer because the corruption was clear. CPM central committee member AK Balan's statement that the Chief Minister won't reply is proof of the arrogance and contempt of the party. It is a challenge to the people.", he said.
"The project which was supposed to be completed for just 58 crores has increased to 152 crores and 232 crores. The rulers tried to fatten the companies by collecting fines from the people and thus expand their pockets. The documents prove that the scam was planned before the project. The tender was rigged. SRIT and Ashoka Buildcon were the business partners who won the tender. The competition commission of the Union Finance Department can intervene and punish the companies with business partnerships, considering it a crime to rig tenders. The rigged tender should be quashed as illegal. It is funny to investigate by the Principal Secretary of Industries, who was silent on complaints about irregularities and connived at everything", Chennithala added.
