Fire breaks out near Minister Rajeev’s office, additional private secretary's room gutted in fire

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A fire broke out near Minister P Rajeev's office in the Secretariat. The fire broke out on the third floor of the North Sandwich block. The room of Vinod, additional private secretary of the minister, has been gutted in the fire. Two units of the fire brigade rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

The police informed that no files were burnt. It is not clear how the fire spread. A top-ranking police team and the district collector reached the spot and started an investigation. A fire had broken out in the same block in 2020. Files and computers were destroyed in the fire then.
