MUMBAI: The are complaints that female students who appeared for NEET exams were asked to unfasten their innerwear and change their clothes. There are widespread complaints against the NEET entrance exam held in Maharashtra and West Bengal. The national media reported that the students had to swap their clothes with their parents.
It is reported that the officials who examined the students bodily directed them to wear the clothes inside out. It is also alleged that in West Bengal, female students were
forced to leave their innerwear and then appeared for the exams. The students shared their ordeals on social media. Some had to buy new clothes from the shops near the examination centre.
Reports said such incidents happened after the officers conducting the body examination took a strict stand to comply with the dress code of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The agency received many complaints in this regard. The National Testing Agency said they will direct not to adopt such harsh body examination policies on girls hereafter.
