Man requests to keep an eye on daughter travelling alone, TTE arrested for misbehaving with woman

KOTTAYAM: A Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) has been arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a woman passenger while on duty. The arrested is Nitheesh (35) of Thiruvananthapuram and TTE of Nilambur-Kochuveli Rajya Rani Express. He was arrested by Kottayam Railway Police on the complaint of the woman.

The train left Nilambur Tuesday morning at 1 am. The woman of Thiruvananthapuram boarded the train from Nilambur. The incident related to the case happened in Aluva. He misbehaved with the woman who was travelling alone. When her father came to see off her in the train, he told the TTE that his daughter was travelling alone and asked him to keep an eye on her. He took advantage of this and misbehaved with her.

He misbehaved with her when the train left Aluva. Nitheesh told the woman, who was travelling in S 4 coach, to shift to AC coach. When she refused to go with him, he pulled her hand and tried to take her.

Later, when he started annoying her, she complained to the control room. Thiruvananthapuram Railway Superintendent directed the police to take strong action in the incident. A case has been registered against him under non-bailable sections. A medical examination found that he was drunk.
