Man ends life by jumping in front of train after killing wife

KAYAMKULAM: A man committed suicide by jumping in front of a train after stabbing his wife to death after a family dispute. The deceased has been identified as Biju (39) and his wife Lovely (Reshmi-35) of Chakkala in Kayamkulam's Cheravalli. The incident happened at 9 pm last on Tuesday.

After an argument with Lovely in the bedroom, Biju stabbed her using a knife. At this time, Biju's parents Karunakaran and Shantha, and children aged six and three, were at home. When Karunakaran and Shanti reached the room after hearing the noise, Biju ran downstairs. Lovely was stabbed in the chest and died on the spot. During further investigation, Biju was found dead on the railway track. Biju was a plumbing worker and Lovely was a temporary employee of Kulasekharapuram panchayat. Children: Adithi, Adidev. Dead bodies are kept at Kayamkulam govt hospital mortuary. Kayamkulam police registered a case.
