'It is not enough to simply boast about women's safety on mic, Vijayan, you must work for it'; K Sudhakaran lashes out at Pinarayi Vijayan

KPCC president K Sudhakaran has lashed out at the Chief Minister. Taking to Facebook, he wrote that the news regarding the murder of 23-year-old house surgeon Dr. Vandana Das comes at a time when the state is yet to recover from the shocking Tanur boat tragedy which claimed 22 lives.

'It is not enough to simply boast about women's safety on the mic, Mr Vijayan. You must work for it. The situation in Kerala is so bad that anyone could be attacked anywhere. The attacks against women are increasing. The government has been taking a stand protecting the accused in most cases,' Sudhakaran wrote.

'Drug mafia and gangsters are taking over Kerala. Pinarayi Vijayan has been sitting on the Home Minister's chair for seven years as a mute spectator without being able to control them. The accused in this crime is not an ordinary person. He is also a teacher. The fact that the drug mafia has spread even to those who teach our children is alarming. One should not turn a blind eye towards the role of the CPM and Pinarayi Vijayan's administration in helping the growth of drug-gangster mafias,' Sudhakaran added.
