Statewide strike by doctors: CM Vijayan to hold talks with doctors' associations on Thursday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will hold talks with doctors' associations today to cool down the state-wide protests following the murder of Dr Vandana. The discussion is at 10.30 am in the Chief Minister's chamber. The conciliation talks led by the Chief Secretary and the Health Secretary on Wednesday evening to settle the strike started by the doctors led by the IMA and other organizations had failed. It was then that the Chief Minister intervened in the matter and decided to hold a discussion with doctors' associations including IMA and KGMOA. Doctors demand strong legislation to prevent attacks.
