NEW DELHI: The vote counting will begin early morning in Karnataka today. The exit polls have predicted a congress upsurge with many others predicting a hung assembly with JDS tuning the kingmaker. After 1952, the state witnessed the biggest-ever polling (73.19) this year.
Last time, BJP emerged as the biggest party with 104 seats. However, congress with just 80 seats formed a quick alliance with JDS forming a government for 14 months until 'operation lotus' happened.
The people of the state and the whole country awaits the climax in Karnataka which will be decisive for both parties before stepping into the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
