Gold smuggling: One and a quarter kilos of gold, which was tried to be smuggled in body, seized at Nedumbassery

KOCHI: One and a quarter kilos of gold seized at Nedumbassery airport. The gold that was caught was tried to be smuggled hidden in the body. It costs Rs 56 lakh.

Gold, which was tried to be smuggled in the body, was seized today in Karipur as well. Customs seized three kilos of gold worth Rs 1.8 crore, which the smugglers tried to smuggle from last night to today morning.

Four capsules containing gold mixture weighing 1163 grams were seized from Puthanari Fawaz, a resident of Pulpatta, Malappuram, four capsules containing gold mixture weighing 1057 grams from Thettathodu Muhammad Jasim, a resident of Nediyiruppu, and four capsules containing gold mixture weighing 1121 grams from Salim, a resident of Trippanachi.
