NEW DELHI: INS Mormugaon, an asset to the Indian Navy, has crossed another milestone. The Indian Navy has announced that it has successfully test-fired the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from INS Mormugaon. The first successful test from Mormugaon, an innovative guided missile destroyer in use by the Navy, is considered a significant achievement.
The test, which demonstrated the superiority of the ship and missile defense system built in the country, which was made as part of Atmanirbhar Bharat, will strengthen the naval force. The ship and arms, which are part of the defense system, are a shining example of the Atmanirbhar project, the Navy said on Twitter after the successful test.
