KSRTC bus collides with autorickshaw in Pallippuram; three people, including four-day-old baby, killed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three people, including a newborn baby, died after a KSRTC bus collided with an autorickshaw in Pallippuram in Thiruvananthapuram. Three persons suffered injuries. The four-day-old baby, the baby's grandmother Shobha and the auto driver Sunil were killed in the accident. It is reported that the child's mother and father are undergoing treatment for injuries. The accident occurred while the family was returning home from the hospital.

The accident took place at around 9 pm on Thursday. The bus going from Attingal to Thiruvananthapuram collided with an autorickshaw going from Thiruvananthapuram SAT Hospital to Varkala. Eyewitnesses said that the accident happened when the bus, which came at high speed, was trying to overtake another vehicle.
