Obtained money and naked pictures of minor girl on pretext of love; youths arrested for attempting to sexually abuse girl 

POOVAR: Poovar police have arrested two persons who attempted to sexually abuse a minor girl after pretending to be in love. The arrested youths are Karumkulam native Adithyan (18) and Athiyannur native Surya (18). The accused, who were produced in the court, have been remanded. Two more people are to be arrested in the case.

According to police, Adithyan got hold of the girl's nude pictures by pretending to be in love with her. He later sent those pictures to his friends. On investigation, the police found that the four accused were aiming to sexually abuse the girl.

The accused also obtained Rs 5000 from the girl by threatening her. The incident came to light when the girl told about this to her parents. Following this, the parents lodged a complaint with the police.
