AI camera tender is transparent; no truth in allegations, says Minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government dismissed the controversies raised in connection with the AI camera deal. Minister P Rajeev said it has been found that there is no truth in the allegations levelled. The minister while addressing the media said the report of the principal secretary, industries department, said Keltron's tender was transparent and the sub-contract was awarded following clear criteria.

The contract was awarded to Keltron on the recommendation of the technical committee. The tender process for SAFE Kerala was conducted as per CWC criteria. Everything except data security can be subcontracted. The minister said that a high-powered committee will be formed for such projects in future. The report also recommends measures to protect Keltron.
