CHENNAI: The ancestral home of Google CEO Sundar Pichai has been sold to a Tamil producer, a report said. The house located at Ashoka Nagar in Chennai has been bought by Tamil producer and builder Manikandan. According to the report, Sundar Pichai's father Regunatha Pichai broke down for a few minutes while handing over documents of the house. Manikandan said that he came to know about the house while searching for a plot in Chennai for building construction. He decided to buy the property after realising that the house belonged to the parents of Sundar Pichai. "Sundar is a person who made our country proud. I am lucky to be able to purchase the house where he was born and brought up," Manikandan said. Sundar Pichai lived in this house till the age of 20. In 1989, he moved to Kharagpur for further studies in IIT.
