JAIPUR: More than Rs 2.31 crore in cash and 1 kg of gold biscuits were seized from the basement of a government office building. The money and gold were found in a locked almirah in the basement of the Yojana Bhawan in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The IT department is working in this building. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
Commissioner Anand Srivastava told the media that it was the additional director of the IT department who informed the police that money and gold were found in the building. Police have detained eight people working in the office for questioning. They are also checking CCTV footage. Anand Srivastava said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has been informed about the matter.
