KOCHI: On Thursday night, a car recklessly hit a bike and never showed the courtesy to stop but sped away. The news was all sound since the car belonged to Kadavanthra Circle Inspector. Shady enough, details emerging say the CI was accompanied by a lady doctor at the time of crash. Appallingly, the police have hitherto not registered a case on the issue. According to the official version, there is no serious injury or broken ligament for the bike rider, restricting the police from registering the case. It is plain truth and apparent that the move is to simply shield the CI from further denigration.

Kadavanthra CI Manuraj and his lady friend were sifting through the Ernakulam harbor bridge when the accident happened. The CI never stopped the vehicle but peddled to escape from the scene. The car was later stopped 2km from the spot. Some bike riders followed the vehicle and informed the CI about the crash. Manuraj shouted against the locals as per reports. It was Chullickal native Vimal who met with the accident. He was laying in a pool of blood after the crash. The locals helped him reach the hospital. Vimal after gaining health went to Thoppumpady police station to register a complaint but faced a cold response from officials.

According to the police, the CI didn't stop the vehicle at the time of the accident to avoid the traffic rush during the time.
