Rahul Gandhi is a bad omen for the country's progress: BJP

NEW DELHI: BJP said that Rahul Gandhi is a bad omen coming in between the country's progress. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia termed Rahul as a bad omen after he expressed his disapproval of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration of the new Parliament building. Gaurav Bhatia blamed Rahul Gandhi's narrow-mindedness for not being able to welcome the inauguration of Parliament.

'Rahul Gandhi will come in as a bad omen during good times when the country is progressing. He is so narrow-minded that he cannot welcome the historic moment when the new Parliament House becomes a temple of democracy," Bhatia said. "Congress leader and former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar had earlier announced the need for a new Parliament building, but why is it creating a problem when Modi is implementing Congress's dreams?" Gaurav Bhatia asked.

At the same time, Rahul Gandhi had earlier announced that the new Parliament building inauguration scheduled for the 28th of this month should be inaugurated by the President and not by the Prime Minister. Opposition parties have come out with criticism amid reports that President Draupadi Murmu was not invited to the function. The opposition has accused the central government of insulting the office of the President. It is a violation of protocol and a move against democracy, they added.
