Ranjith's eyes will continue to see the world; family to donate eyes of slain fireman

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The eyes of firefighter Ranjith, who lost his life while trying to put out the fire that broke out at the building of the Medical Services Corporation in Kinfra Park, will be donated. A native of Attingal, Ranjith has been an employee of the fire force for over six years.

The fire broke out in the building of the Medical Services Corporation in Kinfra Park, Thumba at around 1.30 am today. Ranjith was trying to remove a shutter and get inside the building where the fire broke out when a concrete part fell on his body.

The other officers took him out of the debris with great difficulty. Although Ranjith was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. 32-year-old Ranjith is unmarried.
