Migrant poses as fake doctor in Kochi, ran clinic for months, arrested

KOCHI: The South Police arrested Dipankar Mondal (38), a native of Bengal, who was running a clinic in Thevara Mattammal. He was treating patients after keeping the board of Piles Clinic in a residential building in Chakalaparampil.

He was running the clinic here for months without a license or a certificate. The police seized an equipment and medicines for treatment of piles from the clinic. The accused admitted to police that he was running the clinic through telemedicine consulting. He was arrested by a team led by station inspector M S Faisal.
