16-year-old suffers hand fracture after being attacked by mother, her friend and grandmother

KOCHI: A 16-year-old boy was brutally beaten up in Kochi by his mother, his mother's friend, and his grandmother. The boy suffered a hand fracture after being attacked with an iron rod for questioning his mother's friend visiting home. Police arrested mother Rajeshwari, mother's friend Suneesh and grandmother Valarmathi in the incident.

The child's body also has marks of cuts with scissors. The police informed that one leg of the child was plastered and the other leg was swollen. The police said that there were also marks of beating on the body. Rajeshwari has three children. The eldest son suffered the brutal beating.

The injured child was brought to the hospital by the child's grandfather. Then the hospital authorities informed the police. The police reached the spot and took the statement of the child and registered a case. The police arrested the accused who went absconding after learning that a case had been registered. The child is currently in a relative's home. A case has been registered against the accused under the Juvenile Justice Act.
