Puja at Ponnambalamedu: One more arrested

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Moozhiyar police arrested the person who allegedly helped the group that entered Ponnambalamedu and performed the controversial puja. The arrested has been identified as Eswaran (48) of Kochupamba KFDC Colony. The Moozhiyar police have submitted an application to the court for the custody of KFDC supervisor Rajendran Karuppaiyah, worker Sabu Mathew and middleman Chandrasekhar (Kannan), a native of Ayyappan Kovil.

Moozhiyar SHO Kiran VS said that further investigation will be started after questioning them. The main accused Narayanan Thirumeni, who is absconding, has not been found, and the investigation is at a standstill. Five natives of Tamil Nadu who came to Ponnambalamedu with him are to be arrested. An investigation is also being conducted under the leadership of Pamba Range Officer G Ajikumar.
