Heavy rain with thunder in next three hours in these six districts, alert issued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rains with thunder and lightning are predicted in six districts of Kerala in the next three hours. The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod and strong winds with a speed of up to 40 km per hour. Fishermen are also advised not to venture into the sea until Sunday due to the possibility of bad weather.

From 26-05-2023 to 27-05-2023: Chance of strong wind and bad weather with speed up to 40 to 45 kmph and at some occasions up to 55 kmph along the coast of Tamil Nadu, Gulf of Mannar and Kanyakumari.

28-05-2023: There is a chance of strong wind and bad weather with speed of 40 to 45 kmph and some occasions up to 55 kmph in Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, Kanyakumari, South West Gulf along Sri Lankan coast. Fishing is not allowed in the area on these dates.
