Plus Two results announced; 82.95 is pass percentage, less than last year

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The results of plus two higher secondary and vocational higher secondary exams have been announced. The pass percentage is 82.95%. This year's result is less than the previous year. It was 83.87 percent last year. The results were announced by Minister V Sivankutty at the PRD Chamber.


A total of 4,32,436 students appeared for the exam in all categories. 3,76,135 students appeared for the exam in the regular school going category. There is 87.31 percent pass in science group, 82.75 percent pass in commerce group and 71.93 percent pass in humanities.

1,64, 043 students appeared for the exam in government schools. The pass percentage is 79.19 percent. 1,84,844 appeared for the exams in aided schools. Out of this 86.31 percent qualified for higher studies. 27,031 students appeared for the examination in unaided schools. The pass percentage is 82.70. The pass percentage in special schools is 99.32. 33,815 students got A plus in all subjects in regular category.

1753 students appeared in technical higher secondary schools. The pass percentage is 75.30. 98 students scored A plus in all subjects. The pass percentage in VHS category is 78.39. Wayanad is leading in this category with 83.63 %. The pass percentage in Kerala Kalamandalam Art Higher Secondary School is 89.06. The pass percentage in Scole Kerala section is 48.73. The pass percentage in private compartment is 31.25.

Ernakulam has attained the highest pass percentage. The pass percentage is 87.55. Pathanamthitta has the lowest pass percentage of 76.59. 77 schools secured 100 percent pass. Eight of these are government schools. Malappuram has the highest number of students appearing for the exam (60380). Wayanad had the least number of students (9614). A total of 33,915 students secured A Plus in all subjects in the state.

SAY exam will be held from June 21. Can apply for Plus One admission from June 2 to 9. The trial allotment is on June 13 and the first allotment is on June 19. Plus One classes will start on July 5. The admission process will end on August 4.
