THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kannur in the next three hours and strong winds with a speed of up to 40 km per hour. There is a possibility of strong wind and bad weather conditions at the speed of 40 to 45 kmph and at some occasions up to 55 kmph along Kerala Lakshadweep coasts from May 26 to May 28.
The Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, Kanyakumari coast and South West Bay of Bengal along the Sri Lankan coast are likely to experience strong winds of 40 to 45 km per hour and at some occasions up to 55 km per hour and bad weather conditions, so people in these areas should not go for fishing in the next two days. The Central Meteorological Department has informed that till May 29 there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in the state and strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph.
