THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The sub-inspector, who sexually abused a POCSO case accused has received a notice of dismissal from the home department. The DGP ordered the dismissal of the former Ayiroor SHO Jaisanil and has given the former SHO seven days time to explain his part to the officers.

While sitting as Ayiroor SHO, Jaisanil arrested a man who sexually abused a minor girl. Later, Jaisanil asked the accused to come to police quarters where he sexually molested him and asked for a bribe to end up the case. However, the surprise came through another case as Jaisanil was suspended from service for asking bribe from a resort owner. It was only after this, more cases of his ill deeds while in service began to surface.

According to the case, the POCSO case convict was in the Gulf when the complaint was registered. The SHO asked him to be physically present at the police station. The man came with his brother to surrender when Jaisanil offered a respite. The police officer opened up about his sexual preferences and asked for Rs 50000 to end the case. Even after falling into such demands, the man was arrested and put in jail by Jaisanil. The convict later opened up about his experience to his wife. While being brought to court, the convict exposed the hitherto hidden details of sexual harassment episodes by Ayiroor SHO, to the shock of everyone. Immediately after the revelation, the court asked for an investigation and a case was registered.
