KOCHI: Protest over the landing of a Spice Jet flight bound for Karipur at the Nedumbassery airport. The flight took off from Jeddah to Karipur and landed at Nedumbassery Airport. The Spice Jet officials explain that they had to land at Nedumbassery due to the ongoing maintenance work on the runway at the Karipur airport. However, the passengers protested against the change of airport.

Passengers including women and children had the unfortunate experience. Many passengers protested by not getting off the plane. The passengers did not budge even after SpiceJet informed them that they would provide bus transportation for them. The passengers rejected the proposal put forward by the airline citing the difficulty of traveling by bus with luggage. Passengers informed that the flight which landed at Nedumbassery took off late from Jeddah.
