THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Warning that heavy rain is possible in five districts in the state in the next three hours. The Central Meteorological Department informed that there is a possibility of rain in Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Kannur districts. The warning is that there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in these districts and strong winds with a speed of up to 40 km per hour and light rain at isolated places in Idukki district.
The Meteorological Department has informed that fishing should not be done on the coasts of Kerala and Lakshadweep and there is no restriction on fishing on the coast of Karnataka.
Meanwhile, during the season from June to September, more than normal rainfall is likely, according to the Central Meteorological Department. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places till May 30 and strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph and heavy rain at isolated places over Kerala till May 29.
