Loan fraud case against Pulpally Service Co-Operative Bank; Complainant found dead

WAYANAD: The complainant in the loan fraud case against the Pulpally Service Co-Operative Bank has been found dead. Pulpally Kelakkavala native Rajendran (55) was found dead in the farmland of his neighbour. It is reported that he died by consuming poison.

As per the records of the Pulpally Service Co-operative Bank, Rajendran, who had taken a loan of Rs 25 lakh by mortgaging the land, currently has an arrear of Rs 40 lakh with interest. However, Rajendran claimed that he had taken a loan of only Rs.80,000. Rajendran complained that the former governing council had swindled the rest of the money. Rajendran was found dead while the High Court is considering the case.
