Five-year-old allegedly denied admission to school due to long hair, mother lodges complaint

MALAPPURAM: A five-year-old boy who grew his hair long was allegedly denied admission to MET CBSE school in Tirur. The mother of the child has lodged a complaint with Childline against the said school. As per the complaint, the child's mother sought admission to the school two weeks ago but the authorities refused it.

The child's mother alleges that the authorities did not listen even though she said that the boy grew his hair to donate. The relative alleges that the authorities misbehaved with the child in front of the other parents. Later, the child was enrolled in a government school.
