Tehsildar in the morning; retired in evening 

KOCHI: Aluva Taluk Revenue Recovery Deputy Tehsildar CA Rash Mon got promoted to the post of Tehsildar with only hours left to retire. The promotion, which was due a year ago, was reduced to the last hour as the case will stand in the High Court. He was posted as Special Tehsildar in the Angamaly Office of PWD Land Acquisition Ernakulam Unit. He received the promotion order on Tuesday at 8 pm. Rash Mon reached the office at Angamaly Civil Station yesterday morning and took charge. He later retired after completing 27 years of service.

Even though he could only sit in the new chair for a day, Rash Mon is satisfied that he got the post he was waiting for. Rash Mon joined the service as a village assistant in Aluva taluk. He worked in the same taluk for 24 years. Along with Rashmon, Thrissur KSFE Revenue Deputy Tehsildar George was also promoted in the last hour. He was appointed as Chavakkad LR Tehsildar.
