'Won't disturb daughter, son-in-law' ; doctor couple commits suicide

KOZHIKODE: Aged couples who are doctors by profession committed suicide in their home in Kozhikode. Ram Manohar(72) and Shobha Manohar(68) were found dead with the police also recovering a suicide note from the place.

‘ We both are in ailing health. Better to leave now than disturbing the lives of our daughter and son-in-law.’ the suicide note mentioned.

According to police, the couple gulped down big amounts of phenobarbitone tablets which resulted in death. Both Ram Manohar and his wife were residents of Thrissur where they worked for all these years. It was only six months before they decided to shift to Kozhikode.
