Doctor couple found dead in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: An elderly man and his wife were found dead in the bedroom of their house. Ram Manohar (70) and his wife Shobha Manohar (68) were found dead in their house in Malaparamba Housing Colony yesterday morning. The couple's deaths were attributed to an overdose of medicines, according to the police. A suicide note was found near the bodies. They claimed in the note that they had illnesses and did not want to bother their daughter and son-in-law. Ram Manohar was an ENT doctor and Shobha Manohar was a paediatrician. The couple used to run a private clinic in the Triprayar in Thrissur. They have been living in Kozhikode for six months. It was the couple's daughter who found them lying dead when she reached the house with breakfast. Chevayoor police completed the inquest proceedings. Their daughter Archana is a dentist. The bodies were handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.
