THRISSUR: Revenue officer caught while accepting bribe. Revenue officer K Nadirsha of Thrissur Corporation was the one caught by vigilance. A bribe of Rs 2,000 was accepted for a certificate to change the ownership of the house. Complaints were raised earlier that Nadirsha was taking bribes widely.

The complainant had submitted an application to the Kanimangalam office to change the ownership of the house in the name of his mother and sister. The officer demanded Rs 2,000 to change the ownership, after which the complainant informed the vigilance. Nadirsha kept the Rs 2000, with phenolphthalein, given by the vigilance, in his pant pocket. Later, the vigilance came and made him take off the pants containing bribe money. Further action was completed by making the officer wear a mundu. A vigilance check was conducted in the officer's quarters as well. Bank accounts will also be checked.
