Toll plaza employee beaten to death by car passengers; another employee in critical condition

MYSORE: In a shocking incident, a toll plaza employee was beaten to death by car passengers. Another toll plaza employee, who sustained serious injuries in the incident, is in critical condition. The incident took place in the Ramanagara Taluk in Karnataka on Saturday night. The gang of people, who refused to pay the toll, brutally attacked the two employees at the toll plaza. The CCTV footage of the incident has come out.

The deceased has been identified as Pavan Kumar (26), an employee of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway tollgate in Sheshagirihalli. His colleague Manjunath (25) is undergoing treatment at the hospital. According to the police, a scuffle broke out between the gang of car passengers and the toll plaza employees at around 10 pm after the car passengers refused to pay the toll.

As the dispute heated up, Pavan Kumar attacked the car passengers. Following this, the locals pacified both groups. These visuals were caught on the CCTV camera near the toll plaza. At around 12 am, the car passengers, who were waiting for the toll plaza employees, attacked Pavan Kumar and Manjunath when they went out to have food. Pavan Kumar died after sustaining an injury on the head.

Police have registered a case on the incident. They said that they have launched an investigation and are examining the visuals obtained from CCTV cameras.
