NEW DELHI: Largest seizure of drugs in the county. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized 15,000 LSD blots, 2.5 kg of marijuana and currency worth Rs 4.65 lakh. It's the biggest seizure in the last two decades.
Rs 20 lakh deposited in various accounts were also found. The NCB arrested six people related to the incident. They were arrested from different cities in India and the leader of the gang was arrested from Jaipur.
The drug network is also spread in Kerala apart from Poland, Netherlands, USA, Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The seized LSD alone is worth more than Rs 10 crore.
They used dark net in their dealings. The payments were made via crypto currency or crypto wallets. There is no direct transaction between the drug sellers and the buyers, said NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh.
The gang was caught based on the information received while inspecting some social media accounts. They use private messaging apps and websites to avoid being noticed. The NCB also revealed that all the six arrested are technically skilled.
