56-year-old arrested for killing live-in partner, chops body in pieces

MUMBAI: Another Shraddha Walker model murder in the country. A 56-year-old man was arrested in Mumbai in the case of killing and chopping into pieces his live-in partner aged 36. The incident happened on Mira Road in Mumbai. The police said the body was chopped into pieces using a tree cutting machine and then he cooked it in a cooker. Manoj Sahani was arrested in the incident.

The dead is Saraswati Vaidya. The two were in a relationship for three years and were staying in a rented flat. Manoj had a small shop in Borivali. The incident came to light after their neighbours informed the police about a foul smell emanating from the flat.

The police arrived and found the decomposed body, chopped into pieces. The police said the murder was committed three to four days ago. He killed her following a fight. When the police arrived, Manoj tried to hide the evidence and two other people were taken into custody in connection with the murder, officials said.
