NEW DELHI: Sakshi Malik said that she will not participate in the Asian Games unless the complaint against Wrestling Federation President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is resolved. She stated that she is going through severe mental stress every day. Bajrang Punia has given a warning that if Brij Bhushan is not arrested by June 15th, they will take to the streets again on June 16.

The strike was suspended till June 15 after a discussion held by the wrestlers with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur for six hours. The minister gave assurances that the investigation against Brijbhushan who sexually assaulted the wrestlers will be completed by June 15 and the charge sheet will be submitted and Brij Bhushan will no longer come to head the federation. After the discussion, the players clarified to the media that they will not protest till June 15 and they will protest again if the assurances fail. The wrestlers came forward with sexual allegations against the President of the Wrestling Federation, Brij Bhushan on January 18.
