People covering number plates with face mask; Kerala police introduces new plan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The AI camera is on the move and has delivered many challans for people who failed proper traffic rules. However, people tend to try newer ways to evade such punishments. The latest is covering the number plate with face masks and hands in a bid to surpass the vigilant lens of AI. However, police have discerned the situation and will move with deft ways of adopting drone service to catch such people trying meaner ways to escape the AI lens.

Bike stunts, altered vehicles, and people covering the number plate will be caught instantly using drones. The images will be sent to the control room on a real-time basis. Car seat belts and helmets will also be scrutinized by the ultra-zoom camera in drones. These flying drones will be used mostly in areas where there is a dearth of AI cameras.
