KOCHI: Salim Naduthodi the complainant against Nilambur MLA P V Anwar submitted a plea in High Court against the Manjeri CJM court decision approving the case as civil type. The HC has scheduled a date and will consider Salim’s plea next week.

The case was registered as per the complaint of Salim Naduthodi of Pattarkadavu in Malappuram. According to the complainant, Anwar cajoled him to join the crusher business offering a modest 10% share in the crusher unit in Balthagandy in Karnataka. Salim got cheated and lost Rs 50 lakhs only to realize later that no such quarry existed. Previously, the Crime branch registered a case against Anwar and now ED is dusting up the old case that has been registered long back. After a long investigation, the crime branch labeled the case as civil type and submitted a report to the court, only to get quashed. However, the crime branch reiterate its stance and submitted the report again which now got accepted by the court.
