Kozhikode-Muscat flight with 162 passengers makes emergency landing due to technical glitch

MALAPPURAM: Oman Airways flight bound to Muscat from Kozhikode made an emergency landing Tuesday morning at the Karipur Airport. The flight WY 298, which had taken off to Muscat, made an emergency landing due to a technical glitch. The flight carrying 162 passengers departed from Kozhikode at 9.16 am this morning. The snag is on the weather radar of the flight. All the passengers are safe.

Information on weather will not be available if the weather radar malfunctions. The flight made an emergency landing as it may pose a risk due to the rains.

The flight landed after circling above Karipur airport for an hour to burn off the fuel.
